【PROFILE】

He was born in Chiyoda-ku Tokyo in 1943. He was already an angler and found fish printing through that hobby in 1973.

To faithfully recreate the image of a fish swimming in the water in a way that would live on forever, He is a devotee to the indirect method of color fish printing. 
There are admirers of his work all around the globe, including America’s Robert DeNiro, and Canada’s David Suzuki, among others.

He has even developed a special oil based color ink for fish printing that does not run, has a brilliant shine and is resistant to fading.

He is a unique artist in that in addition to printing on washi paper He also print large scale works like giant squids on silk.

He hold exhibitions and workshops at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, museums in Japan and abroad, aquariums, and universities. 
His works are also on display in restaurants, public institutions and hospitals around the world.
